Congressmen, RP gov’t officials don ranks as AFP Reservist Officers
CAMP GENERAL EMILIO AGUINALDO, Quezon City – Two Members of the Philippine House of Representatives, an undersecretary in the Office of the Presidential Executive Secretary and the Philippine Ambassador to South Korea donned their ranks as newly commissioned reservist officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines in a joint ceremony in Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo Monday morning, December 14.
In a ceremony held at the Hall of Flags in the General Headquarters Building of Camp Aguinaldo at 8:30 a.m., General Hernando DCA Iriberri, Chief of Staff AFP, conferred the ranks to these newly commissioned reservist officers in the presence of Philippine Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Eduardo M Año, Philippine Air Force Commanding General Lt. Gen. Jeffrey F Delgado and Philippine Navy Vice Commander Ronald Joseph Mercado.
Leading the list were ABS Partylist Representative Catalina Leonen-Pizarro and Guillermo Romarate Jr., Surigao Del Norte Representative, who were conferred with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Philippine Army Reserve Command.
Reynaldo P Cruz, Undersecretary in the Office of Presidential Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa Jr., was also conferred with the same rank in the Philippine Army Reserve Command while Anthony E De Leon, Philippine Ambassador to South Korea, donned the rank of Lieutenant Commander in the Philippine Navy Reserve Command.
