“Army Condemns Perpetrators in Burning”
PROSPERIDAD, Agusan del Sur– The 401st Infantry Brigade condemned the recent burning incident involving a teacher’s cottage located in a far flung barangay of Sibagat Agusan del Sur by unidentified men last November 12, 2015.
“We condemn this criminal act committed by these unknown perpetrators. Any school facility should not be an object of any attack. Perpetrators should be made to pay for the crime they committed.” Scored by Col Alexander Macario, Commander of 401st Infantry Brigade after learning about the incident.
The report reached 23rd Infantry Battalion based at Brgy Sibagat, Agusan del Sur a subordinate unit of 401st Infantry Brigade at 1pm yesterday (November 12, 2015) from a concerned barangay official. Accordingly, unidentified men set fire to the teacher’s cottage.
Ltc Lynart Castisimo, Commanding Officer of 23rd IB said “Our unit immediately notified the Sibagat Municipal Police Station and Local Government Unit about the incident and requested for immediate investigation.”
As of press time, Sibagat MPS and Bureau of Fire Protection together with the Local Government Officials and the 23rd IB personnel proceeded in the area to conduct investigation.
